CLASSICAL / CONTEMPORARY

Queensland College of Dance
Pre-Professional Classical / Contemporary Program is a full-time extensive dance program ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in classical ballet and/or contemporary dance.

This course focuses heavily on technical and creative excellence. Students will be provided training in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Pointe, Repertoire, Pas de deux and Character, Jazz, Performance Coaching, Physical Conditioning, Partnering, Improvisation & Composition, Anatomy & Nutrition, Performance Psychology.

Students will have the opportunity to partake in a minimum of 4 formal performances per year as well as have the invaluable experience of preparing and training for national and international competitions as well as industry placements.

Pre-Professional Commercial Program is a full-time extensive course ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in the commercial dance industry.

Students will be provided training in Musical Theatre, Vocal Coaching, Acting Coaching, Jazz, Cabaret, Heels, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Physical Conditioning, Improvisation & Composition, Performance Coaching, Anatomy & Nutrition, Performance Psychology.

Students will have the opportunity to partake in a minimum of 4 formal performances per year as well as have the invaluable experience of preparing and training for real-world auditions.

Pre-Professional Musical Theatre Program is a full-time extensive course ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts industry.

The two year course is designed to prepare students for a career as a performer in Musical Theatre, Cabaret, Cruise Ships, Film, Touring and other related industries.

Students will be provided training in Musical Theatre, Vocal Coaching, Acting Coaching, Jazz, Tap, Cabaret, Heels, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Physical Conditioning, Improvisation & Composition, Performance Coaching, Anatomy & Nutrition, Performance Psychology.

Advanced Diploma of Musical Theatre

MUSICAL THEATRE &
COMMERCIAL DANCE

Queensland College of Dance
This course is open to students seeking full-time training to an advanced level of professional practice, skills and excellence.

The Advanced Diploma focuses on complex technique and development of solo work across the dance, singing and acting genres.

Classes have a high degree of practical training, rehearsal and performance across the disciplines of Jazz, Tap, Acting, Singing, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Acto and Industry Development subjects.

Dance Excellence Program is the perfect option for students looking to increase their dance training and education with a weekly intensive day of dance.

Elite Ballet Programs are ideal for talented and dedicated young dancers who are passionate about classical ballet and contemporary dance. The aim of these training programs is to provide transitional pathways towards full-time dance for young aspiring dancers.
